Biography of Varvara

Varvara is a pop star who is known for her experiments with music videos. She has always had a passion for singing and creating videos that allow her to showcase her skills as an actress. Despite facing challenges and criticisms from her teacher Matvey Osherovsky, the director of the famous production of "The Threepenny Opera" in Odessa, Varvara never let anything stop her from pursuing her dreams.

After completing her studies at the Gnesinka School, where she was taught by Osherovsky, Varvara went on to work at Lev Leshchenko's theater of variety performances while also studying at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS). She graduated with a specialization in musical theater.

After leaving the theater, Varvara embarked on her solo career. In 2001, she released her debut album titled "Varvara" under the record label "NOX Music." The album featured songs written by various young and unknown songwriters, with the notable inclusion of Kim Breitburg, the main songwriter for Boris Moiseev. The album showcased a blend of different musical styles, combining live instruments with electronic samples and featuring poetic lyrics.

The debut album was well-received by listeners, with songs like "Varvara," "Butterfly," "On the Edge," and "Fly to the Light" gaining popularity. Despite the album's unconventional style, it resonated with the audience. Interestingly, one of the chapters in Nicole Claro's book "Madonna" was titled "On the Edge," but this connection went unnoticed by the listeners.

In the summer of 2002, Varvara received an unexpected offer from Norn Bjorn, the founder of the well-known Swedish studio Cosmo, to record several compositions with a Swedish symphony orchestra. Collaborating with the Swedes, she released the song "It's Behind Us," which showcased a modern R&B style. However, Varvara decided to continue recording the rest of the songs for her future album in Russia. She believes that Russian sound producers are capable of working at the European level.

Varvara's musical journey mirrors her life's travels. She has been offered the opportunity to record an album of songs in Arabic during her frequent visits to the United Arab Emirates with her family. However, she is also drawn to Northern Europe, with its harsh sagas, Celtic legends, Enya's music, and the salty scent of the ocean. It is perhaps this fascination that led to the Norman notes felt in the song "Two Sides of the Moon" from her upcoming album set to be released in February 2003.

Varvara's passion for music videos is evident in her work. She has always wanted to sing songs and create videos that allow her to showcase her acting skills. In March 2003, her second album titled "Closer" was released by the record label "Ars-Records." The majority of the compositions were recorded at the "Bratya Grimm" studio, where the team was able to create arrangements and sound that aligned with Varvara's ideas.
