Biography of Varvara Shcherbakova
Varvara Shcherbakova, a Russian actress, knew from a young age that her future profession would be in the creative field. Born and raised in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, her artistic inclinations began to manifest themselves early on. When asked about her aspirations in kindergarten, while other children mentioned professions like doctor or president, Varvara stated her dream of walking the runway.

As she approached the end of her schooling years, Varvara's family moved to St. Petersburg. Uncertain about her career path, she knew one thing for sure - she wanted a profession that would be creative and devoid of mathematics or exact sciences. She applied to several universities, including theater, television journalism, PR, and tourism. However, it was during an open day at the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy that Varvara finally realized that acting was her calling.
In 2008, Varvara Shcherbakova graduated from the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy with G. Barysheva's class. By that time, she had already appeared in minor roles in the historical adventure film "1814" and the action movie "Stone Head" as Katya. She then landed a small role as Tanya in one of the episodes of the series "Sea Devils - 3". Finally, her breakthrough came with her first major role as Tabby in the historical series "Sonka. The Continuation of a Legend" – a sequel to the beloved series "Sonka - Golden Pen". Varvara Shcherbakova was cast for the role of Tabby in a conventional manner. The director came across her photos, which actors distribute to agencies, and she was invited for auditions. Within a few days, the young actress was approved for the role.
In addition to her work in film and television, Varvara Shcherbakova can be seen on the stage of the Na Liteinom Theatre. One of her notable roles includes Anika, the friend of Pippi Longstocking, in a production of the famous children's fairy tale. The enthusiastic reception from young audiences serves as the highest praise for her talent, as children are the most honest critics who cannot be deceived.
Varvara Shcherbakova has been widely recognized as a highly talented and promising actress following her appearance in the series "Sonka. The Continuation of a Legend". Her dedication and success in both theater and film have solidified her position in the entertainment industry.
