Early Life and EducationViktor Mišánik is a renowned Slovak and Ukrainian writer. Born in the town of Medzilaborce, Slovakia, he completed his secondary education at the local gymnasium before graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Prešov.
Literary Career
Mišánik's literary journey began as a playwright for the Ukrainian Theatre in Prešov from 1980 to 1981. In 1982, he relocated to Bratislava and established himself as a full-time writer. He became an influential figure in the Ukrainian literary community, serving as the chairman of the Union of Ukrainian Writers in Slovakia from 1990 to 2003.
