Early Career
Caraus started his footballing journey with the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest. In 2007, he moved to Moldova to play for Academia Chișinău, where he honed his skills for a year.
Russian Adventure
In 2008, Caraus embarked on an adventure in Russia. He joined FC Nart Chirala on loan for six months with a potential option for permanent transfer. After making his debut for the club, his contract with Nart Chirala expired, but the club expressed interest in extending his stay.
Ukrainian Journey
In 2009, Caraus made a significant move to Ukraine, signing a three-year contract with Zaporizhzhia Metalurh. He donned the number 19 jersey and made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League against FC Tavriya Simferopol.
Cup Triumph and Relegation
During his time at Metalurh, Caraus played a crucial role in the club's victory in the 2010 Kucherevsky Memorial Cup, where they defeated FC Dnipro. However, the following season proved challenging as Metalurh finished at the bottom of the league and was relegated to the Ukrainian First League.
