Early Life and Education

Vasily Zuankovich was born on January 3, 1947, in the village of Zhitkovo, Minsk Oblast, Belarus. In 1969, he graduated from the Physics Faculty of Kharkiv University.

Career

Teaching and Engineering (1970-77)

After graduating, Zuankovich taught physics in secondary school and worked as an engineer at the Borisov Glass Factory.

Literary Career (1977-Present)

In 1977, Zuankovich joined the Union of Writers of the USSR. He published his first short story in 1972 in the magazine "Polymia."

Film and Literature (1979-1981)

From 1979 to 1981, Zuankovich worked at the "Belarusfilm" film studio. Later, he joined the magazine "Maladosts."

Literary Accomplishments

In 1982, Zuankovich received the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Belarusian SSR. He writes in the Belarusian language and has been an influential figure in Belarusian literature.
