Early Life and Education
Vasili Yasyuk, a renowned painter and professor of drawing, was born on September 6, 1955, in Zabrovye village, Lepel district, Belarus. In 1972, he embarked on his artistic journey at the Minsk Art College named after A.K. Glebov. His pursuit of knowledge continued at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, where he graduated with distinction in 1983.
Artistic Career
Yasyuk entered the world of art through the Youth Union of the USSR Artists in 1984 and became a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists in 1988. Since 1983, he has served as an associate professor and later a professor at the Department of Drawing at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
Accolades and Recognition
Yasyuk has been bestowed with numerous awards, including the Honorable Diploma of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and the Francysk Skaryna Medal in 2008. In 2015, he was further honored with the Francysk Skaryna Medal for his outstanding contributions to art.
