Early Life and Education

Soviet official, minister, and industrial leader, was born into a family of a civil servant. He graduated from the Far Eastern Polytechnic Institute in 1931.

Minister of Machine Building

In March-September 1965, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian SFSR and Chairman of the National Economic Council of the Russian SFSR. From October 1965, he became the Minister of Machine Building for Light and Food Industry and Household Appliances of the USSR.

Political Membership and Recognition

He became a member of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) in 1940. He was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1976 (and a candidate member from 1966 to 1976). He served as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in its 7th to 9th convocations.

He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and two Orders of the Badge of Honor.

Burial and Legacy

He was buried in the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
