Early Life and Education
Vasil Ivanovich Aleksandryuk was born on September 30, 1922, in the city of Kursk, Russia. In 1940, he completed high school and joined the Kursk Aeroclub.
Military Career
In June 1940, Aleksandryuk joined the army and graduated from the Chuguev Military Aviation School in 1941. He served in the Privolzhsky Military District and became a pilot in the 13th Fighter Aviation Squadron in June 1941.
World War II
Aleksandryuk fought in World War II from June 1941 to May 1945. He participated in the defense of Tula and Voronezh and served as a pilot and squadron commander in the 19th and 176th Fighter Aviation Regiments. He flew combat missions in MiG-3, La-5, and La-7 aircraft, engaging in over 70 air battles and claiming 20 personal and two group victories.
Post-War Career
After the war, Aleksandryuk continued his service in the Air Force, commanding an aviation squadron. In 1951, he became deputy commander of an aviation squadron in the Carpathian Military District. He retired with the rank of Captain in June 1953.
Later Life and Death
Aleksandryuk settled in Kursk, where he became the manager of the bus station. He passed away on September 11, 1991.
