Viktor Ivanovich Beznos
Early Life and EducationViktor Ivanovich Beznos was born on December 12, 1937, in Mariupol. From 1955 to 1960, he pursued his higher education at the Zhdanov Metallurgical Institute.
Career at Mariupol Metallurgical Plant
After graduating, Beznos began his career at the Illich Metallurgical Plant in Mariupol. From 1960 to 1962, he served as an equipment engineer in the LPTs-1700 rolling mill. He subsequently rose through the ranks, holding positions as shift dispatcher, shift foreman, and assistant head of the rolling mill.
Ascent to Plant Director
In 1967, Beznos was promoted to the position of deputy head of the plant's production facility. He then spent four years working in the Production Department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy. Upon returning to the plant in 1977, he became head of production until being appointed plant director from 1980 to 1982.
Later Roles
After his tenure as director, Beznos held various senior management positions at the plant. From 1982 to 1984, he served as deputy chief engineer for specialized production and exports. From 1984 to 1987, he was deputy director for economic affairs. He retired in 1994 after serving as chief economist since 1987.
