Early Life and Education
Victor Beilz-Geiman was born on December 27, 1903 (January 9, 1904 under the revised calendar) in Moscow. He was the fifth child of Semyon Alekseyevich (Solomonovich) Beilz-Geiman, a doctor, publisher, and editor. Beilz-Geiman's older brother, Pavel, was an engineer and co-author of the textbook "Construction Details of Buildings." His uncle was the renowned tennis player and coach, Semyon Beilz-Geiman.
Beilz-Geiman attended the First Moscow Gymnasium and later served in the Special Purpose Units (CHON) from 1920 to 1924, eventually rising to the rank of commander of a CHON detachment.
Filmmaking Career
In 1932, Beilz-Geiman embarked on a career in filmmaking, joining the "Radio Film" studio. He directed several films throughout his career.
Awards and Recognition
Beilz-Geiman was a prominent figure in Soviet cinema and received the prestigious title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
