Early Life and Career
Born and raised in Ukraine, Anatoliy Grachyov began his football journey at the age of 14. He joined the youth academy of FC Dzerzhinets Toretsk before graduating to the club's senior team in 1973.
Shakhtar Donetsk and Early Success
In 1974, Grachyov transferred to FC Shakhtar Donetsk's reserve team, where he spent a year honing his skills. He joined FC Spartak Orel in 1975 and made a significant impact, scoring several crucial goals in their promotion to the second division.
Ashgabat and Individual Accolades
From 1976 to 1978, Grachyov played for FC Kolkhozchi Ashgabat in Turkmenistan. His impressive performances caught the attention of Ukrainian giants FC Dynamo Kyiv, and he joined the club in 1979.
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup
Grachyov's time at Dynamo Kyiv was marked by remarkable achievements. He was an integral part of the team that won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1986, scoring the winning goal in the final against Atlético Madrid.
Domestic Dominance
Grachyov also played a pivotal role in Dynamo Kyiv's domestic dominance, winning six Soviet Top League titles and four Soviet Cups during his tenure. He was named the Soviet Union's Footballer of the Year in 1983 and remained one of the most prolific strikers in Soviet history.
International Career
Grachyov made his sole appearance for the Soviet Union national team in a friendly match against Finland in 1984. However, he represented the Soviet Union at the Olympic level, playing 12 matches and scoring one goal.
Coaching Career
After retiring from playing, Grachyov transitioned into coaching. He served as the head coach of several Ukrainian clubs, including FC Volyn Lutsk and FC Metalist Kharkiv.

Throughout his career, Grachyov earned numerous awards and accolades, including:
