Biography of Viktor Pitzman
Viktor Pitzman, a poet, was born on August 9, 1951, in the village of Kamenka in the Belaevsky district of Ukraine, near Odessa. The village was known as Mangheim before the war and for some time after. It was home to many German colonists, which explains Viktor's unusual surname.

After completing his 10th grade education at the Kamenskaya secondary school, Viktor attended the Odessa Polytechnic Institute from 1969 to 1974. Upon graduation, he was assigned as an engineer to the V.I. Lenin Plant in the Moldavian city of Beltsy, where he still resides. He is married and has two daughters and two grandchildren. The region has now become the Republic of Moldova, and the city of Beltsy has been renamed "Beltz."
Although Viktor is no longer employed, he is still officially associated with the AO REUT plant, where he only has one entry in his work record. Throughout his life, he has been a member of various youth organizations such as the Octobrists, Pioneers, and Komsomol, joining and leaving them as per his age. He was never part of the elite and always quietly opposed those in power, although now he often nostalgically remembers better times of the past.
Viktor has had a passion for writing poetry since his school years, and some of his early works are preserved in his old diaries. During his time at the institute and the plant, he occasionally wrote poems related to local events. However, his real breakthrough came after the age of 50, which is quite a unique occurrence. He has written approximately 1000 poems, with half of them being shorter forms such as epigrams and jokes. He also writes serious poems, songs which he performs himself with a guitar, and parodies.
Although Viktor has not published any books, he has had his poems printed in the local press, with around 30-40 of them appearing on paper. Since 2003, he has maintained a website called "Best Russian Poets and Poems" (http://er3ed.qrz.ru), which features over 200 authors and more than 3000 poems. On this website, he also has several separate pages dedicated to all his poems, including those that he perhaps should not have made public. Therefore, he mainly publishes his works on the internet. Additionally, his poems can be found on platforms such as StihiRu, Samizdat Moshkova, and Samizdat "Literaturnaya Gazeta."
Viktor Pitzman is still actively writing, mainly focusing on reflecting on life events. After all, can it be any different?
