Victoria Ruffo is a renowned Mexican actress and television presenter. In March 2001, she made plans to legalize her relationship with politician Omar FAYAD. Ruffo had initially intended to enter into a second marriage in November of the previous year, but her new telenovela "Hold Me Tighter" got in the way. In truth, FAYAD was eager to walk down the aisle in November. However, dedicated to her work, Victoria refused to combine wedding preparations with her on-screen struggles. "I am confident in my feelings, extremely happy, and terribly nervous," confessed Ruffo. "But right now, I am fully focused on my work. I don't have time to prepare for the celebration, and I don't want to get married haphazardly. That is why we decided to wait until next March." The bride and groom have not yet decided on the venue for the ceremony. Victoria would prefer to exchange their sacred vows at the Church of Saint Therese in Mexico City, while Omar leans towards a family celebration in his hometown of Pachuca, in the state of Hidalgo. "Pachuca is a great idea," admits the future Mrs. Fayad. "Omar is a deputy from the state of Hidalgo, and besides, his family and friends are there." Whether Victoria Ruffo's wedding will become a nationwide extravaganza or take place within a close family circle remains unknown. However, it is certain that Victoria, who will turn forty next year, has no intention of portraying herself as a young doll in kilometers of white silk and lace.
Motherhood Plans and Little José Eduardo
The fuss made by his mother is not well understood by her young son, José Eduardo. In the year that Omar and Victoria have been living together, the boy has completely approved of his potential stepfather. He has even begun to pester the future newlyweds about having a little brother or sister. "I am dying to have a couple more children myself," says Victoria. "Especially now that everything in my life is so stable, peaceful, and good."
