Childhood and Early Life

Viktor Yakovlevich Drobysh was born on June 27, 1966, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, into a family of Belarusian descent. Despite the family's modest financial means, young Viktor exhibited determination and a thirst for music from an early age. At the age of five, he expressed a desire to play the piano, but met with resistance from his family, except for his father. His father, Yakov Yakovlevich, eventually took out a loan to purchase a piano for his son.

At the age of six, Drobysh enrolled himself in a music school to further his musical skills. Like many children, his aspirations shifted over time, with dreams of playing for the Zenit football team or becoming an aviator. However, his father insisted that he continue his musical path.

Musical Career

Drobysh's musical journey began as a keyboardist for the Soviet rock band "Zemlyane." He later joined "Soyuz," a new group formed by Igor Romanov, with whom he toured throughout the country and Western Germany.

In 1990, Drobysh became part of the project "Pushking," founded by vocalist Konstantin Shustarev. After recording a demo album, they caught the attention of German producers, who invited them to Germany to record a full-length album. This experience marked the beginning of Drobysh's connections with international producers and studio owners.

Producing Success

In 1996, Drobysh and his colleagues moved to Germany, where he pursued music producing. He produced the German group "Culture Beat" and the pop group "No Angels." His greatest success came with the project "BG The Prince Of Rap," whose songs topped European charts for an extended period. However, his business ventures in Germany did not flourish, leading him to relocate to Finland, where his wife's relatives resided.

While in Finland, Drobysh worked at a Finnish-Russian radio station "Sputnik" and founded the group "Pets." His song "Da Di Dam" became a hit in Finland and other European countries, earning him a German "Golden Disc" award.

Return to Russia

In 2002, Drobysh returned to Russia and ventured into producing for Russian stars. He wrote hit songs for Valeria and Kristina Orbakaite, solidifying his reputation as a sought-after composer in the Russian music industry.

Television and "Factory of Stars"

Drobysh's fame opened doors for him on Russian television. In 2004, he participated in the reality music show "Fabrika Zvyozd-4" (Star Factory-4). The experience inspired him to create the "Viktor Drobysh Production Centre," aiming to promote and develop young talents.

In 2006, Drobysh became the general producer of "Fabrika Zvyozd-6" and founded the "National Music Corporation," where he later served as General Director.

Controversies and Scandals

Throughout his career, Drobysh has been involved in public scandals and controversies. In 2011, he engaged in a verbal altercation with the judges of "Fabrika Zvyozd," accusing them of unfair criticism toward the group "Chelsea."

In 2016, he sparked outrage with his claims that singer Sasha Ivanov (IVAN) would perform naked surrounded by wolves at the Eurovision Song Contest. While Иванов did perform with wolves, they were digitally projected rather than real.

Personal Life

Drobysh married Finnish poetess Elena Styuf at the age of 20. They had two sons, Valery (born in 1987) and Ivan (born in 1999). However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2004.

In 2007, Drobysh met his second wife, Tatyana Nusinova. They married in 2008 and have two children, Lydia (born in 2010) and Daniil (born in 2011).

Current Engagements

Drobysh remains an active figure in the Russian music industry. He continues to produce artists and has established an online academy called "Formula Zvezdy" (Star Formula) to nurture aspiring singers and songwriters.
