Biography of Victor Zhukov
Victor Alexeevich Zhukov was born on December 15, 1953. He made his debut as an actor at the age of 15 in the film "It Happened in Intelligence." The film was a huge success, and right after its completion, Zhukov was invited to Lenfilm to play the role of Sasha Gorokhov in the movie "Boys," based on the novella "It's Me." The film received significant awards and prizes in Finland and the United States but was somewhat overlooked in his own country.
Following this, Zhukov appeared in several other films, including "Izhorsky Battalion," "The Great Hungerers," "Red Chernozem," and "The Taiga Sailor." He studied at theater schools in Leningrad and Moscow.
Since 1983, Victor Alexeevich has not acted in films and currently resides in Moscow. The film "It Happened in Intelligence" is a well-executed and patriotic-oriented Soviet action film for both children and adults. Interestingly, the film is based on real events, with the protagonist, A.I. Kolesnikov, still living in Moscow as of last year. His war memoirs were heard by writer S.S. Smirnov, who turned them into an essay titled "San Sanych." This essay, published in 1967, became the basis for the screenplay of "It Happened in Intelligence" by screenwriter V. Trunin.
The film was directed by L.S. Mirsky, who, with the help of his assistant, N.G. Ivanova (known for her role as a teacher in the film "Spring on Zarechnaya Street"), discovered 15-year-old Vitya Zhukov in an ordinary Moscow school. Zhukov successfully portrayed his peer, Vasya Kolosov, the film's main character. This role, along with the talented cast, made the film an outstanding achievement in Soviet cinema. According to online sources, the film had an audience of 24 million viewers!
