Education and CareerViktorija Daujotytėis a renowned Lithuanian literary scholar. She graduated from Vilnius University and has been affiliated with the institution since 1971.
Literary Credentials
Daujotytė is a member of the Lithuanian Writers' Union since 1975. She holds the habilitation degree (doctoral degree) and is a professor at Vilnius University. She is also a member-expert of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
Literary Accomplishments
Daujotytė has received numerous accolades for her work, including the National Prize (1993) and the "Santarvė" Prize (1996). She was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Grand Duke Gediminas in 2002.

Daujotytė has authored numerous textbooks for schools and universities. She has published monographs on literary theory, Lithuanian poetry, and the biographies and works of prominent Lithuanian writers such as Jurgis Baltrušaitis, Salomėja Nėris, Janina Degutytė, Justinas Marcinkevičius, and female writers.

Daujotytė has compiled and written introductory articles for anthologies of Lithuanian prose poetry (1987). She has also edited and published the selected works of Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas (1982), Motiejus Gustaičio (1984), Salomėja Nėris (1994; 1999), and conversations with Marcelijus Martinaitis (1998), among other notable editions.
