Victoria Lukashenko: A Glimpse into the Life of the Belarusian President's Granddaughter
Early Life and Family
Victoria Lukashenko, born in 1998, is the eldest granddaughter of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. Her parents, Viktor and Lilia Lukashenko, are a childhood sweethearts who tied the knot at a young age. Viktor, an alumnus of Belarusian State University's Faculty of International Relations, has held various government positions, including Foreign Ministry advisor and presidential assistant for national security. He currently serves as the chairman of Belarus's National Olympic Committee.
Lilia Lukashenko's public profile is more subdued, reflecting her dedication to raising her children: Victoria, along with her two brothers (Sasha and Yaroslav) and sister (Valeria). Growing up in a close-knit extended family, Victoria shared a special bond with her cousins, Anastasia, Daria, and Alexandra, who were brought up by her uncle, Dmitry.
Education and Interests
Excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities, Victoria was a graduate of Minsk Gymnasium No. 16. She opted to pursue higher education in economics at Belarusian State University rather than abroad. Additionally, she delved into the realm of digital marketing at a private IT academy.
Foray into Film
At the tender age of 10, Victoria made her acting debut in the comedy film "On the Back of a Black Cat." Her endearing performance as the granddaughter of one of the protagonists, coupled with her charming anecdotes at the casting call, not only earned her the role but also the opportunity to narrate the film.
Victoria's cinematic journey continued with the television series "Divination by Candlelight" (2010), where she portrayed the protagonist's childhood self. However, her acting career subsequently concluded.
Personal Life
Victoria's family members are known for their privacy, shunning excessive social media use and granting interviews judiciously. Her engagement was largely unknown until the revelation of her wedding in August 2021.
The ceremony, held at the Lebyazhy restaurant, was graced by President Lukashenko, who delivered a heartwarming toast to his granddaughter and her husband, Dmitry Dyatlov. The couple first met during their university years at Belarusian State University's Faculty of International Relations. Dmitry is described as a convivial and studious individual who excelled both academically and athletically.
Present Day
Victoria currently resides in Minsk, living an unassuming life while her parents' names continue to make headlines internationally. Her father has been targeted by the International Olympic Committee for potential suspension, while her mother has been implicated in offshore operations by the official journal of the European Union.
