Biography of Vincent Ventresca
Vincent Ventresca is an American film and television actor who gained the most recognition for his role as Darien Fawkes in the science fiction series "The Invisible Man". He is known primarily for his lead or supporting roles in TV series.
Early Life and Education
Vincent Ventresca was born on April 29, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. His middle names, Paul and Gerard, were given to him in honor of the saints his mother prayed to during her difficult pregnancy at the age of 47. Vincent was her 11th and last child. He graduated from Indiana University with a double major in theater and psychology. This was at the request of his father, who did not believe in his son's acting talent and asked him to pursue another, more lucrative and practical field.
Discovering Acting
Vincent discovered his acting talent while studying in college. It was during this time that he first tried his hand at acting in films. A movie featuring the renowned actor Gene Hackman was being filmed in Vincent's hometown. The plot required a basketball player, and Vincent happened to be skilled in basketball. Although the auditions were unsuccessful due to his lack of experience, Hackman's acting inspired him so much that he decided to become an actor at any cost.
Since then, Vincent has played numerous roles in theater, television, and feature films. He is also a co-founder of an experimental theater company called "Eat Whatever You Can". The actors in this experimental troupe are recruited from Indiana University graduates. Vincent has participated as an actor in several original projects of this studio.
The Invisible Man and Beyond
However, Vincent's real fame came after his leading role in the series "The Invisible Man". This was also his first project where he starred alongside Paul Ben-Victor. They became close friends during the filming, and since then, have regularly appeared together in projects.
Vincent is a versatile person with diverse interests, a multifaceted personality, and a universal actor. He enjoys various styles of music, especially Ben Harper and the Beatles, as well as different genres of films. Vincent excels in roles in comedies, dramas, and science fiction films. He does not rule out the possibility of writing a screenplay or directing some episodes of "The Invisible Man". In his free time, Vincent enjoys working in the garden and cooking.
Ventresca is a workaholic actor who loves rehearsals and filming, even though his schedule is often hectic, leaving very little free time. Vincent admits that he has suspiciously much in common with his character Darien Fawkes. Fawkes is essentially Vincent himself, but placed in an unreal situation.
Personal Life
Vincent Ventresca's wife is Diana Shiner. They got married in 1995. In April 2000, they welcomed their son Benjamin James, and in July 2002, their daughter Rene Marie.
