Early Life and Education
Viona was born in Belgium and grew up in a creative environment. Her father taught photography, inspiring her to pursue the art form herself. After completing art school in Antwerp, Viona embarked on a path in photography.

Viona's works draw inspiration from various sources, including the Pre-Raphaelite movement, Art Nouveau, and historical costumes. She meticulously creates all the costumes and jewelry used in her photographs.
Photographic Style
Viona's photographs are known for their fantastical and ethereal nature. She often captures images of ethereal figures dressed in elaborate costumes. Initially, she used herself as a model, but later transitioned to working with models.
Exhibitions and Events
Viona has showcased her work at various exhibitions, including her father's photography exhibition. In 2006, her photographs were displayed at the Gallerie Lucien Schweitzer in Luxembourg.
Elf Fantasy Fair
Viona is an active participant in the Elf Fantasy Fair, a costumed festival held at Castle Haar in the Netherlands. She has also hosted the Gala Nocturna, a costumed celebration in Antwerp's St. Augustine's Gothic Church.
Danse Macabre Ball
Together with her husband, Dirk Standaert, Viona hosts the Danse Macabre Ball at their estate, Heinrichshorst Castle in Germany. This costumed "vampire ball" invites attendees to immerse themselves in a fantastical experience.
