Virginia Lee Corbin, a celebrated actress of the silent film era, was born in Prescott, Arizona on December 5, 1910. Her parents, Leon E. Corbin and Frances Cox-Corbin, raised Virginia alongside her sister, Ruth Corbin, who also pursued a career in acting.

Early Career and Breakthrough

Virginia began her acting career at a young age and quickly gained recognition. Her talent and charisma graced the silver screen throughout the 1920s and 1930s. During this period, she captivated audiences with her performances in numerous silent films.

Marriages and Family Life

From 1929 to 1937, Virginia was married to stockbroker Theodore Elwood Krohl. Together, they welcomed two sons into the world: Philip Harold (August 16, 1932) and Robert Lee (January 29, 1935). After her divorce, Virginia remarried another stockbroker, Charles Jacobson, who remained her spouse until her death.

Tragic Demise

Virginia Lee Corbin's life was tragically cut short at the age of 31. On June 5, 1942, she succumbed to tuberculosis in Winfield, Illinois. Her untimely demise left behind a lasting legacy in the annals of silent film history.
