Biography of Vlad Zernitsky
Popular TV and radio host, composer, songwriter, and presenter, Vlad Zernitsky is an Israeli musician, composer, and TV personality of Ukrainian origin. He was born in Zhdanov, Ukraine. Zernitsky developed an interest in music at a young age, learning to play the piano in a music school and performing as part of a school ensemble. It was not until 1976 that he seriously began to apply his skills when he became a drummer for a local Pioneer House VIA. After some time, Zernitsky managed to move up to a higher-level group, 'Lirniki,' at the Azovstal factory's cultural center. In addition, Vlad worked as a performer in various recreational venues, parks, and dance floors.
In 1980, Zernitsky graduated from high school and enrolled at the Chelyabinsk Higher Military Automobile Engineering School in Chelyabinsk. He studied there for five years and graduated as an engineer. Zernitsky served in the army for nine years, working in the missile forces in Ukraine. However, he did not abandon music during his time in the army and eventually received an award at a local amateur arts competition. He continued to make a living playing music at various local events.
In 1989, Zernitsky met Alexander Kalyanov, which marked the beginning of their fruitful collaboration and eventually led to the creation of several compositions for Kalyanov's album 'Night Patrol.'
In 1994, Vlad moved to Israel, and three years later, his first album 'Unlucky' was released. In Israel, his musical career followed the same pattern as in the USSR – he performed in restaurants and at various concerts. In 2000, Zernitsky became a presenter on an illegal Israeli radio station aimed at Russian-speaking listeners. Despite his work commitments, Vlad continued to write and record new songs. He also excelled professionally, launching several new programs and organizing a series of concerts.
In October 2002, Vlad secured a position on the official Russian-language radio station in Israel, and within six months, he became the channel's administrative director. After four years, Zernitsky made his television debut on 'Israel Plus' channel as the host of the morning program 'New Day.'
Despite his various professions, Vlad manages to continue pursuing music, writing new songs, and performing on stage.
