Early Career

Mikhail Zemlinsky, a Latvian-born former Soviet footballer, began his professional career in the second division of the USSR Football Championship with Zvejnieks. In 1988, he joined RAF Jelgava, where he played until 1992.

Success with Skonto

In 1993, Zemlinsky joined Skonto, the leading football club in Latvia at the time. During his seven seasons with Skonto, he made 130 league appearances and scored an impressive 60 goals. The club dominated Latvian football, winning seven consecutive league titles from 1993 to 1999.

Return to Riga

After a brief stint with Policijas FK, Zemlinsky moved to Russian club Torpedo-ZIL in 2000. However, he failed to make an appearance for the Russian side and eventually returned to Riga.

Later Career and Coaching

From 2001 to 2006, Zemlinsky played for various clubs in Latvia, including Riga, JFC Skonto, and Jurmala. In 2006, he transitioned to coaching.

Throughout his career, Zemlinsky has achieved significant accolades:
