Early Life and Career

Berezin studied at the Oryol College of Culture, majoring in directing, and later at the Faculty of Journalism at the Ural State University. By 1980, he had become the head of the announcer department at the Sverdlovsk television, a position he held for 10 years. It was almost by chance that Boris Yeltsin noticed Berezin on the local television and invited him to Sverdlovsk. It was there that the management of Ostankino took notice of him, and Vladimir found himself in Moscow. By 1990, he was already working for Central Television. Among the projects featuring Berezin were the program "Good Morning" and episodes of the children's show "Good Night, Little Ones". After the dramatic events of 1991, Berezin became the host of the program "Vremya" (Time). Later, Berezin moved to the VGTRK channel, where he eventually became the chief presenter of the channel.

Achievements and Current Work

Vladimir Berezin is currently a People's Artist of Russia and a distinguished artist. He is a prominent host of concerts and official events in the Kremlin, as well as numerous festivals, concerts, and shows.

In 1993, Berezin was awarded the Order of Courage for performing professional duties with risk to his life. His departure from the central channel came as a surprise and raised many questions, to which Vladimir, however, does not hesitate to answer. In an interview, he admitted that now that his work as an announcer is behind him, he feels much freer. However, he also acknowledges that being an announcer was an integral part of his life and brought him true national fame. For many years, Vladimir associated himself so closely with his profession that work became his main life priority. It was only at the age of 50 that he suddenly realized that work, while important, was not the most important thing in his life. "Reducing oneself to only one's professional aspect is sacrilege," says the "current" Vladimir Berezin.

Today, when he looks back on his days at VGTRK, Berezin talks about how difficult it was to be a "star in life". In the 1990s, when he was the "face of the channel" and his show's ratings were truly colossal, he found himself in a state of confusion, completely focused on his own celebrity. He managed to break free from this state thanks to the Church. During one of the shootings in Tatarstan as part of a cultural program for artists, he visited the Raifa Monastery. After a two-hour conversation with a priest, Vladimir simply discovered a new world for himself. He even considered several times moving to a monastery to live, but it never came to that. However, he now visits Tatarstan almost every week, spending weekends in the monastery cell.

Today, Vladimir works with "live" people; his audience varies from a few dozen people at receptions to thousands in stadiums. According to Berezin, working with people is much more interesting than working with a camera.

Comparing television of "those years" and the present, Berezin, of course, sees a huge difference, but he does not long for the past. Everything corresponds to the times, and commercialization on television today is just a product of the era.

Berezin is particularly proud of some of the RTR projects, including the series "Idiot", "Master and Margarita", "In the First Circle", and "Lenin's Will".

Furthermore, Vladimir, who has communicated with the top figures of Russian show business for many years, knows for sure that the images of "stars" are often too mythologized.

Overall, Vladimir Berezin is a very sensitive and thoughtful person who has many questions for himself, to which he has yet to find answers. In this regard, he greatly relies on the Church, which has already helped him put many things in their place.

In his personal life, it is known that Berezin is married and has a daughter.
