Early Life and Career
Born into a humble family in Rovno, Ukraine, Vladimir Dudarenko grew up in a household where his father worked as a train driver and his mother toiled at a collective farm. His younger brother, Nikolai, would also embark on a professional football career.
Club Career
After honing his skills at the Rovno Football School, Dudarenko made his club debut for local side "Kolgospnyk" in 1960. He spent five seasons with the club before receiving a conscription notice in 1966, leading him to join Lviv SKA.
However, his stay at SKA was brief as the manager, Sergei Shapovalov, was appointed to lead CSKA Moscow the following season. Shapovalov immediately invited Dudarenko to join him, and the player became a regular starter for the Army Men.
The highlight of Dudarenko's club career came in 1970 when CSKA clinched the USSR Championship title. He played a pivotal role in the second final match against Dynamo Moscow, scoring the opening goal in a thrilling 4-3 victory.
In 1975, Dudarenko returned to SKA, which had since relocated and changed its name. He retired as a player in 1977.
International Career
Dudarenko earned two official caps for the USSR national team in 1971, appearing against El Salvador and Mexico.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Dudarenko transitioned into coaching. He served as the manager of his former club, Lviv SKA, from 1979 to 1981. He later worked as a coach for the club from 1982 to 1984. In 1993, he led the women's football club "Lvovyanka."
