Biography of Vladimir Lortchenkov

Vladimir Lortchenkov is a Russian writer, novelist, and journalist of Moldovan origin. He was born in Kishinev, Moldova. His father is the son of a Ukrainian and a Belarusian, while his mother is Moldovan. Lortchenkov grew up in Transbaikalia, the Arctic Circle, Hungary, and Belarus. When he was 12 years old, his family returned to Kishinev. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Moldova State University and worked for 11 years in Moldovan media. Later, he worked as a PR manager in a travel company in Istanbul. He writes in Russian and currently resides in Montreal, Canada.

His first publication was in 2002 in the journal "Novy Mir." He has since been published in journals such as "Znamya," "Oktyabr," "Volga," "Neva," "Novaya Yunost," and "Ural."
