Early Career and Youth Teams
Dnepr-75, Vikhr, and FC DniproVladimir Lyuty began his football journey at the age of 11 when he joined the Dnipropetrovsk Football School No. 15. In 1973 and 1978, he trained with the Dnepr-75 Academy. From 1974 to 1977, he honed his skills with the Vikhr Youth Team.
Professional Career
FC DniproLyuty made his professional debut for FC Dnipro in 1979 and remained with the club until 1989. He rejoined Dnipro in 1997 for one season.
German Clubs
In 1990, Lyuty moved to Germany and played for Schalke 04 (1990-1991), Duisburg (1991-1992), Bursaspor (1992), Bochum (1992-1993), Unterhaching (1993-1994), and SSV Salmrohr (1994-1997).
International Career
Lyuty earned 6 caps for the USSR/CIS National Team, scoring one goal. He represented the USSR at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the CIS at the 1992 UEFA European Championship. He also made 12 appearances for the USSR Olympic Team, finding the net three times.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Lyuty coached several amateur teams in Germany. In 2007, he returned to Russia and served as assistant manager to Anatoliy Byshovets at Lokomotiv Moscow.
