Early Life and Military Service
Colonel Viktor Ivanovich (b. May 15, 1941, Vinnytsia, Ukraine) began his military journey in 1958, graduating from the Dvinsk Military Aviation Radio Engineering College of Long-Range Aviation. In 1969, he completed his studies at the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy, specializing in radio engineering for piloted aircraft and spacecraft.
Command and Leadership in Electronic Warfare
Colonel Viktor held prominent positions in electronic warfare, including Chief of the Electronic Countermeasures Service in the Far Eastern Military District and Chief of Electronic Warfare for the 303rd Fighter Aviation Division. In 1977, his groundbreaking dissertation on organizing and conducting electronic warfare operations in air campaigns earned him a doctorate in military sciences.
Academic Expertise and Innovation
From 1980 to 1992, Colonel Viktor served as Senior Instructor at the Chair of Electronic Warfare at the General Staff Academy of the USSR. In 1989, he completed the General Staff Academy program externally. Throughout his career, he contributed to numerous state and military inventions and authored over 40 scientific papers.
Honors and Recognition
Colonel Viktor received the Order of Service to the Motherland in the USSR Armed Forces, 3rd degree, and various medals. His pioneering work in electronic warfare has left an enduring mark on the field.
