Professional Football Career
A Ukrainian-Russian footballer, Maksim Shatskikh, excelled as a midfielder throughout his career. He initially trained at the DYuSSh Izmail academy. Shatskikh went on to play for several notable clubs, including "Zvezda NIBAS" in Kirovograd, "Metalist" in Kharkiv, and the prominent "Spartak" Moscow. He also represented "Rostselmash" in Rostov-on-Don.
In the latter stages of his career, Shatskikh moved to teams in lower Russian divisions, playing for "Sokol" in Saratov, "Vityaz" in Podolsk, "Baltika" in Kaliningrad, and "Avangard" in Podolsk. He officially retired as a player in 2012.
Notable Achievements
Shatskikh's exceptional talent earned him a remarkable achievement: the prestigious Russian Championship title in 1996 while playing for "Spartak" Moscow. This victory stands as a testament to his exceptional skills and unwavering determination on the football pitch.
