Biography of Vlado Kreslin

Vlado Kreslin is a Slovenian singer who began his musical career in 1970 as a drummer in his first band, "Apollo." He then played in the bands "Špirit" (Murska Sobota) (1973) and "Horizont" (Ljubljana) (1973-1978). In 1983, he joined the band "Martin Krpan," which disbanded in 1990 after a concert with Bob Dylan. After that, Kreslin joined the folk music group "Beltinška banda" and focused on folk music. Currently, he has returned to his own music with the group "Mali Bogovi."

Vlado Kreslin has collaborated extensively with Slovenian and international artists. Every year, in early December, he holds concerts at the "Cankarjev dom" concert hall in Ljubljana. In 2005, a double concert CD/DVD was released, featuring six of the singer's concerts. Vlado Kreslin is a true legend of Slovenian pop music. Recently, his album "Kreslinčice" was released, which is a collection of his best songs. The first disc includes all of his best songs and a new song called "Kak riba brez vode," which Vlado recorded one day before the album's release. The second disc is a gift from Kreslin to his fans, consisting of many interesting compositions, many of which are released for the first time. Among them is a duet with Rade Šerbedžija, performed at Cankarjev dom. Rare versions of old songs were also released, such as the band "Siddharta" covering the hit "Od višine se zvrti" from Kreslin's time in "Martin Krpan," and another well-known Slovenian musician, Jani Hace, reworking the song "Mladi Marko." The album also includes three music videos.
