Vurghun Nadirov: A Stalwart Defender
Vurghun Nadirov is an Azerbaijani footballer who plays as a defender for Turan Tovuz in the Azerbaijan Premier League. He is also a member of the Azerbaijan U-21 national team.
Club Career
Nadirov began his career with Turan Tovuz, where he played from 2005 to 2008 and captained the team for a period. In 2008, he joined Qabala FK, another Azerbaijani Premier League club. He returned to Turan Tovuz for the 2010/11 season before rejoining Qabala. In 2013, Nadirov moved to Sumgayit FK.
International Career
Nadirov has represented Azerbaijan at the U-17, U-19, and U-21 levels. In 2009, he attended a training camp with the U-21 team in Antalya, Turkey. He made his debut for the Azerbaijan senior national team in a match against Jordan, scoring his first international goal in a 2-0 victory.
