Early Life and Club Career
Vusal Huseynov was born and raised in Azerbaijan, where he developed his passion for football. Throughout his career, he played exclusively in the Azerbaijani Premier League, representing various clubs including Shamkir, Khazar Lankaran, Olimpik Baku, and Standard Baku.
Professional Journey
In the 2007/08 season, Huseynov briefly played for Massally before joining Gabala. However, after the first round, Gabala placed him on transfer, and he spent the second half of the season with Turan. From 2009/10 onwards, he became a member of Muğan.
National Team Representation
Huseynov played six matches for the Azerbaijani national team between 2003 and 2004, but failed to score any goals. In 2003, UEFA refused to acknowledge the latest Azerbaijani national championship, and the talented midfielder was abruptly withdrawn from the senior team and added to the U-21 squad for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Cup.
