V'yacheslav Dovzhenko, a remarkable Ukrainian actor, has graced both theatre and cinema screens with his exceptional talent. His career has been marked by prestigious awards, including the prestigious "Golden Wolf" for Best Male Role.
Early Training and Career Beginnings
Born in Ukraine, Dovzhenko's theatrical journey began in 1995 when he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Theatrical College. He honed his skills in puppetry and drama, studying under esteemed masters Mikhail Ovsyannikov, Alexandra Samokhvalova, and Nelia Pinksa. Continuing his education, he completed the directing program at the Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film, and Television (KNUTheAT) in 2009 under the guidance of Konstantin Dubinin.
Theatre Engagements
Dovzhenko's theatrical career has been diverse, spanning various institutions. He worked at the Dnipropetrovsk Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after T. Shevchenko before joining the renowned "Kyiv Free Theatre" in 1998. Led by Artur Artemenyev, this theatre provided him with a platform to showcase his artistry. He has also performed on the stage of the Kyiv Young Spectators Theatre.
From 2011 onwards, Dovzhenko has been a prominent actor at the "Kyiv Academic Drama Theatre on Podil". His notable stage roles include:
