Early Life and Family

Amber Rose Tamblyn was born on May 14, 1983, in Santa Monica, California. Her father, Russ Tamblyn, was an actor, dancer, and singer. Her mother, Bonnie Murray, was a teacher, singer, and performer. Amber's extended family was also heavily involved in the arts. Her godfathers were actors Dean Stockwell and Dennis Hopper, while her grandfather, Eddie Tamblyn, was a vaudeville performer and her uncle, Larry Tamblyn, was a keyboardist for the 1960s rock band The Standells.

Acting Career

Amber's acting career began at the age of ten when she was cast as Emily Bowen in the popular soap opera "General Hospital." She remained with the show for six years, from 1995 to 2001. In 2002, she starred in the pilot episode of the reboot of "The Twilight Zone." Tamblyn has also appeared in numerous other television series, including "Joan of Arcadia," "Babylon Fields," "The Unusuals," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "CSI: Miami," and many more. Her role as Joan Girardi in "Joan of Arcadia" earned her Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

In addition to television, Amber has also starred in several films, including her father's productions "Rebellious" and "Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard."
