Biography of Vyacheslav Kernozhenko
Vyacheslav Kernozhenko is a Ukrainian footballer and goalkeeper. He was born on May 10, 1979, in Kiev, Ukraine. Kernozhenko started his football career as a trainee at the DYUSHSH Dynamo Kyiv, where he was coached by Shpakov A.A. and Lysenko A.A.
Playing Career
Kernozhenko played for several teams throughout his career. He started with Dynamo-2 Kyiv from 1993 to 2001 and then moved on to the main team, Dynamo Kyiv, from 1997 to 2001. He also had stints with Dynamo-3 Kyiv from 1997 to 1998, Arsenal (CSKA) Kyiv from 2001 to 2003, Arsenal-2 Kyiv in 2003, and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk from 2004 to 2008.
On June 15, 1997, Kernozhenko made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League in a match between Metalurg Zaporizhzhia and Dynamo Kyiv, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Kernozhenko transitioned into coaching. In May 2010, he joined the DYFSh Dynamo Kyiv as a goalkeeper coach. He worked with young goalkeepers in the academy.
In June 2012, Kernozhenko was appointed as an assistant coach for goalkeepers at FC Sevastopol.
Achievements
Throughout his career, Vyacheslav Kernozhenko achieved several notable milestones. He won the Ukrainian Premier League four times with Dynamo Kyiv in the seasons 1996/97, 1997/98, 1998/99, and 1999/00. He also won the Ukrainian Cup three times in 1997/98, 1998/99, and 1999/00.
Additionally, Kernozhenko was a bronze medalist in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 2003/04 season and reached the final of the Ukrainian Cup in the same season.
