Vladislav Ivanovich Krasnopolsky was born on July 1, 1938, in Kuibyshev (now Samara). His father, Ivan Danilovich, was a construction engineer, and his mother, Nina Alekseevna, was a physician. Krasnopolsky's passion for medicine stemmed from his mother's influence.
In 1961, Krasnopolsky graduated from the Second Moscow State Medical Institute named after N.I. Pirogov with a medical degree. He then embarked on a fruitful career at the Moscow Regional Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology (MONIIAG).

Residency and Early ResearchFrom 1961 to 1963, Krasnopolsky completed his clinical residency in obstetrics and gynecology at MONIIAG. He subsequently served as a junior research associate (1963-1967), senior research associate (1967-1973), and head of the gynecological clinic (1973-1985).
In 1967, Krasnopolsky defended his candidate's dissertation on "Cesarean Section after Amniotic Fluid Rupture." In 1978, he obtained his doctoral degree with a dissertation titled "Modern Aspects of Diagnosis, Surgical Treatment, and Prevention of Purulent Infections in the Uterine Adnexa."
Director of MONIIAG
Since 1985, Krasnopolsky has held the esteemed position of director of MONIIAG. He has also headed the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education of the Moscow Region at MONIKI named after M.F. Vladimirsky since 1990.
