Lithuanian Architect with Notable Achievements
Early Life and EducationVladas Stauskas was a renowned Lithuanian architect born in 1932. He pursued his education at Birzai Gymnasium from 1937 to 1949. Subsequently, he graduated from the Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR in Vilnius in 1955.
Professional Career
From 1955 to 1965, Stauskas worked at the Institute of Urban Planning in Vilnius. He rose through the ranks, becoming group leader in 1960 and chief project architect in 1964.
Academic Pursuits
In 1965, Stauskas joined the Art Institute (now Vilnius Academy of Arts) as a lecturer. He became a docent in 1971 and a professor in 1984. From 1988 to 1993, he served as the rector of Vilnius Academy of Arts.
Architectural Contributions
Stauskas's architectural contributions include:Designing typical residential buildings (1957-1958)

Restoring the Skarga Courtyard of Vilnius University (1979)
