False Concert Organization and Fraud

In the spring of 2014, Waleed Ahmed became a defendant in an American court for fraud related to the organization of Justin Bieber concerts in Scandinavia. He managed to convince a gullible investor to invest money in a project to organize five Bieber concerts in the region. However, it was later discovered that all the documents presented by Ahmed were forged, and he had no agreements or connections with Bieber's managers. As a result, he faced the American justice system and was sentenced to 11 years in prison, even though the initial accusation was for a 9-year sentence.

Inventor and Controversies

Despite his criminal activities, Waleed Ahmed is also known for his inventiveness. In Norway, he gained recognition for his idea of a solar-powered charger for mobile phones. In 2011, he was acknowledged by the Minister of Industry, and the company "Innovation Norway" awarded him a monetary prize, considering him a promising young developer. At that time, Ahmed was even referred to as the "Norwegian Zuckerberg," drawing comparisons to the Facebook founder.

However, his reputation as an innovator took a hit when it was revealed that the idea for the solar charger did not belong to him, but to someone else. Further investigations uncovered discrepancies, such as non-existent contracts for selling the device abroad. Ahmed was then accused of insurance fraud, further tarnishing his image as an inventor.

Imprisonment and Future

Waleed Ahmed is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence in the United States for his fraudulent activities. Upon release, he will likely face several years of probation. Despite his initial recognition as an inventor and innovator, Ahmed's reputation has been severely damaged by his criminal behavior.
