Early Life and Inspiration
Born in Amritsar, India in 1974, Ahluwalia moved to New York at the age of five. The philosophy behind House of Waris is deeply rooted in the romance and history of ancient kingdoms. He creates intricate and timeless pieces, collaborating with skilled artisans from Rome and Rajasthan.
The House of Waris and Fashion Collaborations
Ahluwalia's jewelry has gained recognition for its beauty and craftsmanship. In response to the Mumbai attacks in 2008, he contributed to the book "To India, with Love," raising funds for the victims. In 2010, he became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and was named one of "Vogue's" 10 Most Influential People. House of Waris opened a tea room in New York that same year, offering a curated collection of clothing, accessories, and jewelry.
