Biography of Werner Erhard
Werner Erhard, born John Paul Rosenberg on September 5, 1935, was a public figure who had a significant influence on thousands of people in the 1970s and 1980s. He founded the largest movement of its time, known as EST (Erhard Seminars Training).

Erhard completed his education at Norristown High School in Pennsylvania in 1953, where he met his future wife, Patricia Fry. They got married and had four children. In 1960, John Paul Rosenberg changed his name to Werner Erhard and left his family in Philadelphia to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
In 1961, Erhard arrived in California and later moved to Washington, where he worked for Encyclopædia Britannica's "Great Books" program as a personnel manager. He began collaborating with Parent's Magazine Cultural Institute in January 1962 and was promoted to territorial manager for California, Nevada, and Arizona by the end of the summer. He later held managerial positions in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
In January 1964, Erhard became the manager of the southeastern territories and moved to Arlington, Virginia. However, his stay in Arlington was short-lived as he returned to San Francisco after a disagreement with the company's president. In 1967, he became the vice president of the company.
During this time, Erhard identified individuals who would later play significant roles in EST. He founded the EST movement in 1971, which had a profound impact on human potential development. Millions of participants underwent Werner Erhard's training, including those who participated in his other projects such as "Youth at Risk" and the "Hunger Project."
Erhard led and managed the organization for several decades, achieving extraordinary success. However, in the early 1990s, the project began to crumble, and Erhard decided to step away, unwilling to witness the demise of his creation. He resurfaced in 1993 when he answered questions in an interview with renowned American journalist Larry King.
