Wilfredo Caballero: Argentine Goalkeeping Legend

Wilfredo Caballero, an Argentine goalkeeper, began his professional career in 2001 with Boca Juniors. In 2003, he achieved remarkable success, winning the Argentine Primera División, Copa Libertadores, and Intercontinental Cup with the club. In 2004, he transferred to Elche in Spain's Segunda División. After a brief loan spell at Arsenal de Sarandí in Argentina, he returned to Elche in 2006, where he played 173 games.

International Career

Caballero's international career was marked by triumphs at the youth level. In 2001, he won the FIFA World Youth Championship with the Argentine U-20 team, playing in both the semi-final and final. He also claimed gold at the 2004 Summer Olympics, although he did not make any appearances. Despite being part of the squad, he never featured for the Argentine senior team, including at the Confederations Cup.
