Early Life and Career

Berkeley graduated from Hampshire College and pursued various artistic interests such as painting, sculpting, and makeup artistry. In 2001, he met Sarah Clarke and they got married the following year. On September 23, 2006, Clarke gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Olwyn Harper. Interestingly, Berkeley and Clarke both portrayed renegade federal agents: he played a traitor in the movie "Air Force One" (1996), while Clarke portrayed agent-turned-renegade Nina Myers in the TV series "24".

Berkeley began his acting career in 1981 with small roles in various TV shows including "M*A*S*H," "Incredible Hulk," "Hart to Hart," "Falcon Crest," "Cagney & Lacey," "Tales of the Gold Monkey," "Remington Steele," "A-Team," and "Miami Vice." He also appeared in shows like "Moonlighting," "V," "Twilight Zone," and "Wiseguy." However, his presence did not become widely recognized until the 1990s. Berkeley played the role of Shakespeare in Tom Stoppard's "The 15-Minute Hamlet" and appeared in the short film "The Stranger." He also appeared in the western film "Seraphim Falls," the German film "Fracture," and Tony Goldwyn's work "Winters."
