A 72-year-old Chinese pensioner named Xin Yue has undergone a life-changing transformation, transitioning from male to female. In a recent surgery in Huizhou, Guangdong province, Xin realized his long-held dream of becoming a woman.
Preparation and Evaluation
Before undergoing the surgery, Xin had to complete rigorous tests and answer over 1000 questions to ensure his readiness for the transition. As the third of three sons in his family, Xin had often expressed his longing to be a girl.
Family Support
Xin's wife, Leng Rui, accompanied him to Huizhou for the surgery and expressed her unwavering support. They had both retired in 2000, and Leng stated that their relationship had evolved from husband and wife to close sisters.
Parallels with Caitlyn Jenner
Xin's story bears similarities to that of former Olympic athlete William Bruce Jenner, stepfather of Kim Kardashian. In the 1980s, Jenner began hormone replacement therapy but discontinued it after meeting Kris Kardashian. In April 2015, the 65-year-old Jenner publicly came out as a transgender woman and has since adopted the name Caitlyn Jenner.
