Early Life and Career

Jana Brejchová was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on January 20, 1940. She made her film debut at the age of 13 in the 1953 film "Lead Bread." During the 1950s, she appeared primarily as a young girl, including her role in Stanislav Rostotsky's 1959 film "May Stars."

Rise to Stardom

In the 1960s, Brejchová became a leading actress in Czechoslovakia, working with renowned directors such as Jiří Krejčík, Karel Zeman, and Karel Kachyna. She starred in memorable films like "The Higher Principle" (1960), "The Fabulous Baron Munchausen" (1961), and "The Bride's Night" (1967).

Collaboration with Evald Schorm

Brejchová formed a successful creative partnership with Evald Schorm, a talented director. Together, they created several films, including "Everyday Courage" (1964), "The Return of the Prodigal Son" (1966), and "The End of a Priest" (1969).
