Education and Teaching Career

Elected as a deputy to the Milli Majlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan's third convocation, this educator completed his studies at the Faculty of History at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. He is fluent in multiple languages, including Russian, Turkish, and Farsi. From 1971, he served as a teacher and deputy director at the Quba secondary school. In 1987, he became the chairman of the executive committee of the Krasnaya Sloboda settlement and a teacher at the local secondary school. In 2000, he took on the role of head of the local municipality.

Political Career

As a member of the Yeni Azerbaijan party, the deputy was elected to the Milli Majlis on November 6, 2005, representing the 53rd Quba-Gusar electoral district. He serves as the deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis's permanent commission on human rights and is a member of the working groups for interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina, Azerbaijan and Cuba, and Azerbaijan and Russia. He is also the head of the working group for interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.

Personal Life

This ethnic Mountain Jew is married and a father of four children.
