Yuri Moroz was born on July 13, 1956, in Krasnodon, Ukraine. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1979 and began his acting career at the Lenin Komsomol Theater, where he performed until 1987.
His film debut came in 1980 in the historical epic "Youth of Peter" by Sergei Gerasimov. He subsequently played memorable roles in films such as "Princess of the Circus" (1982), "Black Square" (1992), and "Arrival of the Train" (1995).
Directing and Producing
In 1988, Moroz graduated from the directing department of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), where he studied under the guidance of Sergei Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova. His directorial debut came in 1990 with the fantasy film "Dungeon of Witches."
Over the years, Moroz has directed and produced numerous films and television series, including the critically acclaimed "Kamenskaya" (1999-2005) and "Women in a Game Without Rules" (2004).
