Yuri S. Davydov

Early Life and Education

Yuri S. Davydov was born on May 2, 1937, in the city of Inza, Ulyanovsk Oblast. In 1960, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.

Academic Career

Davydov has worked in the higher education system since August 1960. In 1968, he defended his candidate's dissertation at Moscow State University named after Lomonosov. In 1980, he obtained his doctorate. In 1982, he was awarded the title of professor.

Leadership Roles

Davydov served as Rector of the Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute from 1987 to 1990. In 1990, he was elected Rector of Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University on an alternative basis.

Research and Publications

Davydov's scientific achievements led to his election as a Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education, a Full Member of the Academy of Social Sciences, and the Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences. He has authored or co-authored over 100 publications totaling over 166 printed pages, including 28 monographs and textbooks.

Davydov's current research focuses on property development and higher education.
