Biography of Sergey Airapetian

Early Life

Sergey Airapetian, an Armenian-Ukrainian chess grandmaster, was born in Yerevan, Armenia.

Education

Airapetian pursued higher education at Taurida National University named after V.I. Vernadsky, where he graduated with honors from the Economics Faculty's Finance Department in 2010.

Chess Career

2004-2007:

Led the chess club at Gymnasium No. 1 named after K.D. Ushinsky in Simferopol.

2007:

Awarded the title of International Grandmaster by the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

2008-2010:

Served as a coach-consultant for the Luxembourg and Belgian national chess teams.

Championships and Victories:

Pan-Armenian Olympiad Games Champion (as part of the CIS team)
European Champion (as part of the Crimean youth team)
