Early CareerYuri Goloubev was born in Moscow in 1972. He began his musical journey at the Central Specialized Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, graduating with honors in 1990. In 1995, he received a degree in double bass from the Moscow Conservatory.
Classical and Jazz Pursuits
Goloubev has established himself as a leading double bassist in both classical and jazz music. He is the first double bass player in Yuri Bashmet's Chamber Orchestra "Soloists of Moscow." He has also collaborated with prominent ensembles such as the Ensemble of Ancient Music at the Moscow Conservatory.
As a jazz bassist, Goloubev has led several projects focused on original concert jazz. He founded the Russian Jazz Quartet in 1998 and has performed with renowned jazz artists such as Alexey Kozlov, Igor Bril, and Eddie Gomez.
