Biography of Zalman King

Zalman King was an American producer, screenwriter, director, actor, and cinematographer. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and graduated from Grinnell College, where he studied anthropology. In his youth, he worked as a diver. He entered the film industry in the early 1970s, making his acting debut in the film "Ski Bum" (1971). Zalman King began directing films in the 1980s. He is widely known as a director, screenwriter, and producer, thanks to films such as "Nine 1/2 Weeks" (1986), "Wild Orchid" (1990), "Two Moon Junction" (1988), and the television series "Red Shoe Diaries." He produced "Dance with the Devil" (2006), "Crazy Again" (2006), "Source of Pleasure" (2003), "Bliss" (TV series) (2002), and many other films.
