Early Life and Military Service

Herman Petrovich Sidakov was born on August 7, 1961, in Saratov, Russia. After graduating from high school, he served in the Soviet Army from 1982 to 1984.

Education and Theatre Work

Undergraduate Studies and Studio Founding

Following his military service, Sidakov pursued his passion for theatre. In 1984, he enrolled in the Moscow State Institute of Culture (now Moscow State University of Culture and Arts) and simultaneously began teaching acting in Moscow theatres. In 1989, he established his own "Studio on the Arbat," which later became the Moscow Theatre of Dramatic Improvisation on the Arbat.

Graduate Studies at GITIS

In 1988, Sidakov enrolled in the prestigious Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts (GITIS) to further his education. He studied under the renowned director Pyotr Naumovich Fomenko and graduated in 1993 with a specialization in dramatic theatre directing.

Academic Career

Teaching at GITIS and Beyond

Since 1997, Sidakov has served as an associate professor of acting and directing at GITIS. He has also taught at the Higher Directing Courses and VGIK, where he collaborated with renowned directors such as Alla Surikova, Vladimir Khotinenko, Pyotr Todorovsky, Vladimir Naumov, and Sergei Solovyov.

"Fabrika Zvezd" and Image Consulting

From 2001 to 2003, Sidakov taught acting on the popular reality show "Fabrika Zvezd" (Star Factory). He went on to become a leading acting teacher at the Internews School of Television in Russia. Sidakov also worked as an image consultant for politicians, movie stars, and top models.

"Drama School" and Acting System

In 2008, Sidakov founded his "Drama School." Over the years, he developed his unique system of acting and directing. His students have achieved notable success, winning prestigious theatre awards such as the Maria Tsareva Award, Golden Mask, and Golden Lyre.
